作者简介：
DAVID ELSE As a full-time professional travel writer, David has authored more than 20 guidebooks, including Lonely Planet's Great Britain and Wolking in Britain. His knowledge of England comes from a lifetime of travel around the country -often on foot or by bike - a passion dating from university, when heading for the hills was more attractive than visiting the library. Originally from London, David slowly trekked northwards via Wiltshire, Bristol and Derbyshire (with exile in Wales and Africa) to his present base in Yorkshire. David is married with a baby daughter, who already finds herself tramping over mountains - in a backpack carried by her dad - whenever the sun shines.
