作者介绍：
John Little is considered one of the
world’s foremost authorities on Bruce Lee, his training methods,
and philosophies. Little is the only person who has ever been
authorized to review the entirety of Lee’s personal notes,
sketches, and reading annotations. Little’s articles have appeared
in every martial arts and health and fitness magazine in North
America including Muscle and Fitness. He is the author
of The Warrior Within: The Philosophies of Bruce Lee, and
co-author of Power Factor Training, The Golfer’s Two-Minute
Workout, and Static Contraction Training for Bodybuilders.
A native of Canada, John is an expert in the fields of martial
arts, bodybuilding, and physical conditioning.

1.1 论 禅
· 从武术中获得启发，是指要破除一切令“真知灼见”与“真实人生”迷蒙不清的障碍。
同时，亦含有无穷的扩展。事实上，重点不是要把片面的发展融入于整体，而是整体处
理及统一片面。
· 超越因果业力之道，全在于心灵与意志的适当运用。所有生命的同一性都是一个真
理，只有在那命中注定从整体分开、隔离自我的错误观念被彻底消灭时，它才能被充分
理解。
· 虚空正是处于彼此之间。而虚空是无所不包，没有对立的——没有不属于它的或与
之相反的。这个活生生的虚空是一切形式的源头。谁认清了虚空，便会被生命、能力及
众生的爱所充满。
· 成为一具木制的玩偶：它没有自我，亦没有思想，它不贪婪也不粘连。让身体及四
肢按照它们受过的训练而运作吧。
· 假如你无所执著，外界之事物就会自己显露。动如水，静如镜，反应如回响。
·“ 虚空”是无法被定义的，正如至柔之物无法被折断一样。
· 我在动，亦可谓全然未动。我恰似浪涛下的明月，永远颠簸、摇移不止。这不是“我
正在做这件事”，而是在一种内心深处的自觉：“有什么事通过我而发生了”或“有什么东
西在为我做这件事”。自我意识是对一切适当身体行动的最大阻碍。
· 心灵的局限意味着它凝固。当需要时它不再自由流动，它已不再是心灵中的真如。
· “ 固定不动”是指能量集中在一个特定焦点上，而不是分散在零散的活动中，一如
轮子之中轴。
· 重点在于做事之过程而非其结果。没有行动者只有行动本身，没有经验者只有经验
本身。
· 不以个人偏好与欲求，不着色彩地观察事物，就是在观察事物的纯朴简约本性。
· 当自我意识虚空时，艺术便能达至其巅峰境界。当一个人不在意自己正在建构或即
将建构的印象时，则必可发现自由。
艺术需要对技术的完全掌握，通过灵魂深处的反思来发展。
一个头脑清晰、单纯的人并不选择，遇见什么就是什么。根据概念做出的行为明显是具有选择的行为，这种行为是不自由的。相反，它会创造更大的阻力、更大的冲突。要去运用柔韧的意识。
欲自由自在地表达自己，你必须让昨日的一切死去。从“过去”之中，你可获得安全感，但从“新事”之中，你可获得流动。
截拳道并不虚张声势。它并不走迂回的路，而是直指目标。两点之间最短距离的直线，就是简洁。
截拳道之艺术就是使动作简单直接.它使人成为他自己,它是现实中的"本来面目".
